Editorial policy
Practical, original guidance with sources you can check. We aim to make the questions behind a toy or gift choice easier to understand.
Original writing and clear authorship
Guides are published under Character Toys Editorial, our publication identity. The site does not attribute articles to invented experts, reviewers or former owners. Archived copy and licensed character imagery are not reused as our editorial material.
Sources and scope
We use primary sources, including the UK Office for Product Safety and Standards, for safety and regulatory statements. Each guide links to the sources used and displays its update date. Great Britain and Northern Ireland rules can differ; readers should check the official guidance that applies to their circumstances.
Material-care information is not a toy-safety certificate. An unsuccessful recall search is not proof that a toy is safe. We do not verify product compliance, authenticity or suitability for a particular child.
No invented product claims
We do not publish fabricated prices, stock availability, test scores, customer testimonials or purchase recommendations presented as hands-on testing. Illustrative images are unbranded editorial illustrations; they are not photographs of a product offered for sale.
Commercial relationships
The current publication has no paid placements or affiliate purchase links. We do not claim affiliation with toy manufacturers, character licensors, marketplaces or the domain’s previous retailers. If commercial relationships are introduced, they must be clearly disclosed beside the affected content.
Updates and corrections
Published and updated dates describe the editorial record of each guide. Material factual changes should be checked against the linked primary source and reflected in the update date. Source pages can change; consult the current version when making a product-specific decision.
